Job summary

Sammons Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Planner to coordinate maintenance schedules, organise contractors and support engineering operations in the UK. This is a hybrid, full-time role for someone with strong administrative skills and a methodical approach.

You will plan PPM and reactive work, maintain RAMS and RAMS docs, update CMMS (SAP) and liaise with engineers, suppliers and contractors to keep work on track.

Qualifications

• Strong administration, organisation and planning skills.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
• Confident communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with colleagues, contractors and suppliers.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• A willingness to learn about engineering processes and develop within a maintenance planning environment.
• Experience in administration, scheduling, coordination or record-keeping would be advantageous.
• Experience using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), such as SAP, is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule PPM, reactive repairs and breakdown work.
• Assist with annual maintenance schedules, including shutdown planning.
• Prepare job packs and maintain RAMS documentation.
• Liaise with engineering management, other departments, external contractors and suppliers.
• Monitor spare parts requirements, liaise with suppliers and help maintain stock levels.
• Update the CMMS and ensure records are accurate.
• Organise contractor visits and coordinate on-site work.
• Track maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion.
• Follow site procedures and maintain health and safety documentation.
