Job summary

TXM Recruit are currently looking for a maintenance operative to work for an in-house supermarket maintenance team on a long-term contract. This role will be based with autonomous working completing planned maintenance across a few stores.

Location: Boston, Market Deeping. Salary: £29,328.86 per year (£14.01 per hour). 6am–3pm, Monday to Friday with slight flex for childcare; 1-in-4 weekend shifts with Sunday rate uplift. Overtime at 1.5x. Potential permanent placement after 6 months.

Responsibilities

• General reactive maintenance in store from toilets, shop floor and communal areas.
• This may include changing lightbulbs, replacing taps or toilet seats, hanging doors or fixing shelves. Patch plaster, rendering, painting or minor carpentry and plumbing repairs.
• PPMs such as Legionella, Fire Alarm Testing, Sprinkler Testing (training provided).
• Building inspections including roof walks and building checks to exterior.
• Car park checks – drain covers, trolley shelters, bollards.
• There will be daily duties to ensure the tablet is updated, this may be reporting issues, H&S notes or sending emails.
• Technology will be used in the form of a PDA Tablet and Company provided Smartphone.

Salary

£29,328.86/yr or £14.01/ph

Hours

6am to 3pm - Monday to Friday (Can be flexed slightly for childcare etc)

Weekends

1-in-4 weekend shift (1.25x rate for Sunday)

Overtime

Overtime is there at 1.5x

Contract

6-month contract with the expectation to be taken on permanently upon completion of the 6 months.

Duties
