Job summary

TXM Recruit are looking for a maintenance operative to join an in-house supermarket maintenance team on a long-term contract. The role will be based with autonomous working, completing planned maintenance across a few stores.

This position covers general reactive maintenance, light plumbing and carpentry, with training for Legionella and fire alarm testing provided. Overtime is available and there is potential to be taken on permanently after six months.

Qualifications

• General reactive maintenance across toilets, shop floor and communal areas.
• Light plumbing, carpentry and painting tasks as needed.
• PPMs including Legionella and Fire Alarm Testing (training provided).

Responsibilities

• General reactive maintenance in store environments.
• Replace lightbulbs, taps, toilet seats, doors and shelving.
• Patch plaster, rendering and minor repairs.
• Complete daily tablet updates and reporting.

Job description

Maintenance Operative - TXM Recruit are currently looking for a maintenance operative to work for an in-housesupermarket maintenance team on a long-term contract. This role will be based with autonomous working completing planned maintenance across a few stores.

Location & Contract Details

• Location -Boston - Market Deeping.
• Salary - £29,328.86/yr or £14.01/ph
• Hours- 6am to 3pm - Monday to Friday (Can be flexed slightly for childcare etc)
• Weekends- 1-in-4 weekend shift (1.25x rate for Sunday)
• Overtime -Overtime is there at 1.5x
• 6-month contract with the expectation to be taken on permanently upon completionof the 6 months.

As a Maintenance Operative yourdutieswill be but not limited to

Key Responsibilities

• General reactive maintenance in store from toilets, shop floor and communal areas.
• This may include changing lightbulbs, replacing taps or toilet seats hanging doors or fixing shelves. Patch plaster. rendering, painting or minor carpentry and plumbing repairs.
• PPMs such as Legionella, Fire Alarm Testing, Sprinkler Testing (training provided).
• Building inspections including roof walks and building checks to exterior.
• Cark Park checks - drain covers, trolley shelters, bollards.
• There will be daily duties to ensure the tablet is updated, this may be reporting issues, H&S notes or sending emails. Technology will be used in the form of a PDA Tablet and Company provided Smartphone.
