Job summary

TXM Recruit are currently looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join a busy commercial maintenance project on an MOD site in Royston, Cambridgeshire. The role is a 12-week contract with a permanent position on offer after the initial period.

You will work 8:00–16:00 (40 hours per week) with an initial requirement for a vehicle; mileage is paid. A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided after 12 weeks. Duties include general reactive maintenance and assisting maintenance engineers on site.

Qualifications

• Must have access to a vehicle; mileage paid.

Responsibilities

• General reactive maintenance on the site.
• Assist maintenance engineers on site.
• Light repairs such as replacing light bulbs, taps, toilet seats, doors, shelves; minor plastering, painting, carpentry and plumbing repairs.

Location - Cambridgeshire

Salary –£13.56 per hour PAYE

Hours- 8AM - 4PM, 40 hours per week.

Contract length- 12 week contract, permanent after this,You will initially require a vehicle, where a mileage allowance will be paid. We do not expect no more than 30-50 miles per day. Mileage paid 45p per mile after 30 miles. Upon completion of 12 weeks, you will receive a company vehicle and fuel card

As a Maintenance Operative your duties will be but not limited to

• General reactive maintenance on the site
• This may include changing light bulbs, replacing taps or toilet seats hanging doors or fixing shelves. Patch plaster. rendering, painting or minor carpentry and plumbing repairs.
• Assisting various maintenance engineers on site
