Job summary

TXM Recruit are seeking a maintenance operative for a rapidly expanding retail maintenance team. The role is on a temp-perm basis in Poole/Bournemouth, with a 6am–3pm Monday–Friday schedule and a 6-month contract with potential to go permanent.

Salary is £14.01 per hour (£29,326 per annum basic). A driving licence is required. Benefits include a company van, tools and uniform, and the chance to train for Legionella, Fire Alarm, and Sprinkler testing.

Qualifications

• General reactive maintenance in store areas including toilets, shop floor and communal spaces.
• Ability to carry out simple tasks such as changing lightbulbs, replacing taps, or minor carpentry/plumbing repairs.
• Willingness to undertake training for Legionella, Fire Alarm Testing, and Sprinkler Testing.

Responsibilities

• General reactive maintenance in store from toilets, shop floor and communal areas.
• PPMs and basic inspections; report issues and maintain H&S notes.
• Use PDA tablet and company smartphone to update tasks and communicate with team.

TXM Recruit are currently looking for a maintenance operative to work for a rapidly expanding retail maintenance team on aTemp-Perm basis. Long-term position.

Location -Poole/Bournemouth

Salary –£14.01/hour (£29,326 per annum basic salary).

Hours- 6am to 3pm - Monday to Friday (Can be flexed for childcare etc)

Contract length- 6 months with potential to go permanent

Weekends- 1-in-4 weekend shift (1.25x rate for Sunday)

Overtime-Overtime is there at 1.5x

Company Van and Tools&Uniform provided -Please note: a driving licence is required for this position, we will unfortunately not be able to consider you for this role if you do not hold a driving licence.

As a Maintenance Operative your duties will be but not limited to

• General reactive maintenance in store from toilets, shop floor and communal areas.
• This may include changing lightbulbs, replacing taps or toilet seats hanging doors or fixing shelves. Patch plaster. rendering, painting or minor carpentry and plumbing repairs.
• PPMs such as Legionella, Fire Alarm Testing, Sprinkler Testing (training provided).
• Building inspections including roof walks and building checks.
• There will be daily duties to ensure the tablet is updated, this may be reporting issues, H&S notes or sending emails.
• Technology will be used in the form of a PDA Tablet and Company provided Smartphone.
