Job summary

TXM Recruit seeks a Maintenance Operative to join an in-house supermarket maintenance team in Ellesmere. This 12-week temp-to-perm role involves autonomous planned maintenance across multiple stores, with a standard 6am–3pm schedule and occasional weekend duties.

The position offers a company van and tools from day one, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, flexitime, and opportunities for progression. Training is provided for PPMs like Legionella and fire alarm testing.

• Building inspections including roof walks and exterior checks.
• Daily tablet updates and reporting using PDA tablet and company smartphone.

Job description

Maintenance Operative - TXM Recruit are currently looking for a maintenance operative to work for an inhouse supermarket maintenance team on a 12-week temp to perm scheme. This role will be based with autonomous working completing planned maintenance across a few stores.

Location

Ellesmere

Salary –£29,328.86/yr or £14.01/ph

Hours- 6am to 3pm - Monday to Friday (Can be flexed slightly for childcare etc)

Weekends- 1-in-4 weekend shift (1.25x rate for Sunday)

Overtime -Overtime is there at 1.5x

Duties

• General reactive maintenance in store from toilets, shop floor and communal areas. This may include changing lightbulbs, replacing taps or toilet seats hanging doors or fixing shelves. Patch plaster. rendering, painting or minor carpentry and plumbing repairs.
• PPMs such as Legionella, Fire Alarm Testing, Sprinkler Testing (training provided).
• Building inspections including roof walks and building checks to exterior
• Cark Park checks – drain covers, trolley shelters, bollards
• There will be daily duties to ensure the tablet is updated, this may be reporting issues, H&S notes or sending emails. Technology will be used in the form of a PDA Tablet and Company provided Smartphone.
