Job summary

CYGNET is seeking a Maintenance Assistant at The Old Vicarage in Hungerford to help keep a safe, well-maintained environment for residents and staff, with a Monday to Friday pattern.

You should have experience in painting and decorating, plumbing, joinery and general maintenance, a full driving licence, and the ability to communicate at all levels. An enhanced DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Experienced in painting and decorating indoor and outdoor work.
• Able to carry out basic joinery, plumbing and general building tasks.
• Willing to travel to other sites and hold a full driving licence.
• Good communication skills and ability to record maintenance details.
• DBS check required prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive maintenance & repair service.
• Carry out tasks including basic joinery, plumbing, painting & general building work.
• Maintain plant, services & vehicles in working order.
• Check fire alarm points weekly and ensure safety exits.
• Travel to other sites and be on call for emergency repairs when needed.
