Job summary

The Old Vicarage site, operated by Cygnet Group, is seeking a practical maintenance professional to join its team in the UK. You will deliver comprehensive maintenance and repair services, including joinery, plumbing, painting and general building tasks to support a high-quality care environment.

This full-time role offers 40 hours per week with no weekend work. A Level 2 Diploma in Painting & Decorating or Maintenance is preferred, and you must be willing to travel and hold a valid driving

Qualifications

• Experience in painting and decorating in indoor and outdoor environments.
• Full valid driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Ability to communicate at all levels and record maintenance information accurately.
• Skilled in DIY and general maintenance tasks.
• Preferably Level 2 Diploma in Painting & Decorating/Maintenance.
• Friendly, conscientious team member with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive maintenance and repair service.
• Carry out tasks including basic joinery, plumbing, painting and general building work.
• Maintain plant, services and vehicles in working order.
• Comply with safe working practices and report faults or hazards.
• Travel to other sites and be on call for emergency repairs outside normal hours.
• Check fire alarm points weekly and ensure fire exits and safety devices are maintained.

no weekend working. Choose from either an 8:00 am to 4:00 pm or 9:00 am to 5:00 pm shift pattern, providing consistency and flexibility to suit your lifestyle.
