Wiltshire | Monday to Friday
Are you an Engineering or Maintenance Manager looking for a Monday-to-Friday role in a specialist production environment?
We're working with a cannabinoid-based medical company in Wiltshire looking for someone to lead site maintenance across its growing facility, production areas and laboratories.
Monday-to-Friday working pattern.
Ownership of site engineering and maintenance.
A hands-on role combining technical work and team leadership.
The opportunity to improve equipment reliability and maintenance processes.
Reporting to the General Manager, you'll oversee maintenance across the entire site, including glasshouses, cleanroom production areas, laboratories and offices.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and supporting maintenance technicians with day-to-day repairs and fault-finding.
Planning and coordinating preventative maintenance to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
Responding to equipment breakdowns and ensuring issues are resolved efficiently.
Overseeing maintenance of heating, electrical and cooling systems.
Liaising with external contractors and suppliers to coordinate repairs and source parts.
Working with growing, production and quality teams to minimise disruption.
Maintaining accurate maintenance records, monitoring KPIs and supporting audits.
Ensuring health and safety, hygiene, biosecurity and quality procedures are followed.
This is a hands-on management role within a relatively small operation, so you'll need to be comfortable leading the team while getting involved in technical issues when required.
Experience in an engineering or maintenance role, ideally within manufacturing or production.
Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
A strong understanding of maintenance processes, equipment reliability and fault-finding.
Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to manage breakdowns effectively.
Electrical qualifications would be highly desirable.
Glasshouse or controlled-environment experience would be advantageous.
Good organisational and communication skills.
A proactive approach to health and safety, compliance and continuous improvement.
Experience in a regulated environment, such as pharmaceutical or food manufacturing, would also be beneficial.
