Job summary

Advanced Engineering is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for our fast-paced manufacturing site in the UK. The role focuses on reliable, efficient production through reactive and preventative maintenance, electrical and mechanical fault-finding, and strong adherence to safety.

You will work with Production and Engineering teams, carry out PPMs, maintain CMMS records, and support continuous improvement and lean initiatives.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / BTEC / HNC/HND or apprenticeship required.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and mechanical skills.
• Experience with PPMs and reactive maintenance desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across production equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Complete PPMs and identify potential issues before they lead to breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and provide effective shift handovers.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with H&S, GMP and food safety standards.
• Confident working on CMMS.
• Support continuous improvement and Lean initiatives to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to resolve issues and improve site performance.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer

1.30pm to 10pm
Salary £54,000 plus overtime

Are you an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking for your next opportunity within a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Play a key role in maintaining the reliability and performance of production equipment. You will be responsible for both reactive and preventative maintenance, responding to breakdowns, completing PPMs and carrying out electrical and mechanical fault finding to minimise downtime and keep production running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across production equipment.

As the Successful Candidate

• A recognised engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC, HNC/HND or an apprenticeship.
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills & mechanical
• Experience of PPM and reactive maintenance.
• A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong multi-skilled background and experience within a manufacturing, FMCG or food production environment.
