Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a leading UK manufacturer, responsible for maintaining and improving production equipment in a fast-paced environment.

The role operates on a 4 on 4 off pattern (2 days & 2 nights, 7-7) with a salary of £45,000–£52,000. Benefits include pension, life assurance, and development plans, plus on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Multiskilled maintenance with mechanical and electrical bias.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, front-line reactive maintenance and get equipment back into service quickly.
• Diagnose faults and repair mechanical/electrical systems.
• Lead shift-based problem-solving and root cause analysis.
• Identify and implement cost-effective improvements to boost efficiency and reliability.
• Support audits, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coach operators on asset care tasks and collaborate as part of a high-performing team.
