Job summary

Proactive Personnel Limited is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing site. You will perform planned preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and contribute to continuous improvement across production machinery and site equipment.

You will work with production teams, maintain CMMS records, support statutory inspections, and participate in shift rotations with opportunities for training and long-term progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in planned preventive maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to diagnose faults and perform mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Proactive in implementing reliability improvements and cost reductions.
• Strong teamwork and communication with production and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production machinery and site equipment.
• Diagnose faults and undertake mechanical and/or electrical repairs.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
• Identify recurring faults and implement reliability improvements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using a CMMS.
• Support statutory inspections, servicing and general site maintenance activities.
• Work closely with production teams to resolve engineering issues.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices.
• Assist with equipment installations, modifications and continuous improvement projects.
• Participate in shift rotation, overtime and call-out arrangements when required.
