Job summary

Pyramid8 is seeking a motivated Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role involves ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of production machinery and facilities, as well as planned and reactive maintenance.

The successful candidate will diagnose and resolve both electrical and mechanical faults, contribute to continuous improvement projects, and comply with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Multi-skilled maintenance experience, ideally with electrical knowledge.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and reactive maintenance across machinery and facilities.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Contribute to process improvement and machinery efficiency initiatives.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping and workshop standards.
• Support shift handovers and provide guidance to operational staff.

• - Maintain excellent housekeeping and workshop standards

Skills & Requirements:

• - NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• - Multi-skilled maintenance experience, ideally with electrical knowledge
• - Experience in a manufacturing, printing, or production environment preferred
• - Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• - Knowledge of safe systems of work (permits, risk assessments, method statements)
• - Excellent communication skills, flexible and proactive approach
• - Microsoft Office competency
• - Driving license desirable; FLT & IPAF certification advantageous
