Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in Dorchester is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join the engineering team. You will conduct planned maintenance inspections, review parts usage, and support safety checks across a range of equipment including valves and pumps in a food manufacturing setting.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, adherence to SOPs, and risk assessments, with a Monday–Friday schedule and a comprehensive benefits package including health and wellbeing provisions.

Qualifications

• Continuous improvement mindset applied to maintenance and process optimization.
• Solid understanding of engineering standards and best practices.
• Experience operating in food, packaging or beverage manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance inspections and review parts used.
• Recommend improvements aligned with projects and maintenance schedules, perform safety checks.
• Monitor plant conditions, report defects, and repair machinery.
• Create and maintain SOPs and risk assessments for processes.
• Report on plant performance and ensure corrective actions for non-conformances.
• Work on valves and pumps across the production line.

Role & Responsibilities

• Planned Maintenance inspections, review parts used
• Recommend improvements in line with projects and maintenance schedules, carry out safety checks on range of equipment
• Monitor plant conditions, report defects, repair of machinery
• Generate and maintain compliance to SOP's, risk assessments
• Report on plant performance using systems, ensure action on non-conformance issues
• Working on a range of valves & Pumps
