We're recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join an established wine and drinks manufacturing business in Norfolk.

This is a great opportunity for an engineer with a solid mechanical or electrical background who wants to build on their existing skills. You don't need to be the finished article or an expert in both disciplines. The Engineering Supervisor is happy to support someone with the right foundations, attitude and willingness to learn.

What you'll be doing

As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll be part of the engineering team responsible for maintaining production equipment and keeping the manufacturing operation running smoothly.

  • Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Responding to breakdowns and minimising production downtime.
  • Supporting improvements to equipment reliability and performance.
  • Working alongside production colleagues to maintain a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.
  • Developing your technical skills through practical experience and support from the engineering team.
What we're looking for

We're looking for a Maintenance Engineer with a good foundation in industrial maintenance.

  • Experience maintaining machinery within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment.
  • A mechanical or electrical maintenance background – either bias will be considered.
  • Practical fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
  • A willingness to learn and develop skills in other engineering disciplines.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to work well within a team.

Experience in food, drink, packaging or similar manufacturing environments would be relevant, but we're open to transferable industrial experience.

You don't necessarily need years of experience. If you've developed a good technical foundation and are looking for an opportunity to grow, we'd be interested in speaking with you.
