Job summary

Williams Recruitment Partners Ltd is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a site in Hampshire. The role involves hands-on maintenance across production and packaging in a fast-paced, chilled food manufacturing environment, with a strong emphasis on reliability and site performance.

You will uphold health, safety and food safety standards, complete accurate maintenance records, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 Electrical qualification
• Proven maintenance engineering experience in manufacturing
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding capability
• Experience with pneumatics and reading technical drawings
• Fabrication and welding skills
• A recognised engineering qualification (apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC/HND, or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Responding to breakdowns and fault-finding to minimise downtime
• Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance across plant and machinery
• Supporting small continuous improvement and reliability projects
• Working closely with Production, Technical, and Hygiene teams
• Accurately completing maintenance records and documentation
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety and food safety standards

Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (Days & Nights)
Hours: 5:30 - 5:30
Salary: Up to £55,000 + 5% bonus + 5% matched pension + Training allowance for City & Guilds recognised qualifications up to £3,000 per annum

I m currently working with a well-established food manufacturing business to recruit a Maintenance Engineer for their site in Hampshire.

This is a hands‑on role within a fast-paced, chilled manufacturing environment, offering a strong salary, and long‑term stability within a growing engineering team and a business that will invest in your development.

The Role

As a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you ll play a key role in maintaining site performance and reliability across production and packaging operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Responding to breakdowns and fault‑finding to minimise downtime
• Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance across plant and machinery
• Supporting small continuous improvement and reliability projects
• Working closely with Production, Technical, and Hygiene teams
• Accurately completing maintenance records and documentation

What I m Looking For

• Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role within manufacturing
• MUST HAVE: NVQ / C&G recognised Electrical qualification, your application will not be considered if not
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault‑finding capability
• Experience working with pneumatics and reading technical drawings
• Fabrication and welding skills
• A recognised engineering qualification (apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC/HND, or equivalent)
• A proactive, problem‑solving approach and strong team ethic
