Job summary

We are recruiting a Maintenance Engineer for a fast-paced FMCG site in Norfolk. You will undertake electrical maintenance, fault finding and planned preventative maintenance on automated production lines to maximise uptime and efficiency.

The role operates on a 4 on 4 off days and nights shift and offers opportunities for long-term career progression within a growing organisation. This role is being filled with the assistance of Pioneer Selection Ltd.

Qualifications

• Electrical maintenance experience in an industrial FMCG environment.
• Hands-on maintenance including preventive, reactive and breakdown repairs on automated equipment.
• Experience with PLC fault finding is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical maintenance on automated production machinery to maximise uptime.
• Perform fault-finding and breakdown repairs as part of a fast-paced factory environment.
• Execute planned preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Support production targets and drive continuous improvement across the site.

Job Role of the Maintenance Engineer.

We are offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced, high-volume FMCG manufacturing site in Norfolk. You will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and planned preventative maintenance on a range of automated and semi-automated production machinery, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency in a demanding FMCG environment.

The role will require you to work on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, playing a key role in minimising downtime, supporting production targets, and driving continuous improvement across the site.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer

• Electrical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Hands on experience with pre-planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a fast paced industrial factory.
• Ability to work a 4 on 4 off days and nights shift pattern.

Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer

• Strong hands-on electrical fault-finding experience on production machinery.
• Recognised electrical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment with automated machinery.
• Knowledge of PLC fault finding (advantageous).

Desirable Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer

• Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in the UK.
• Previous experience within FMCG, food, beverage or packaging environments.
