Orange Monkey Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer for a leading food manufacturer in Haverhill, Suffolk. The role offers a £52,000 salary and a days-only shift pattern of 4 on 4 off, 05:30-17:30, with no night shifts and 8% employer pension contribution.

You will join an established engineering team on a well-invested site, performing electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault finding and planned maintenance across a busy production environment, with progression opportunities

We're recruiting a Maintenance Engineer for a leading food manufacturer at their Haverhill site. You'll be joining an established engineering team within a stable, well-invested manufacturing environment.

This is a varied Maintenance Engineer role covering both electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault finding, breakdowns and planned maintenance across a busy production site.

What you'll be doing

You'll be:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across electrical and mechanical equipment
• Responding to breakdowns and getting machinery back up and running
• Fault finding across production machinery, control systems and ancillary equipment
• Identifying ways to improve reliability and reduce downtime
• Supporting continuous improvement and lean manufacturing projects
• Ensuring all engineering work is completed safely and to site standards
• Working alongside the wider engineering and production teams

We're looking for

• NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or equivalent
• Electrical and mechanical maintenance experience
• Experience within manufacturing, production or a similar fast-paced environment
• Strong fault-finding and breakdown skills
• A good understanding of health and safety
• Experience with lean manufacturing or TPM would be beneficial
• Breathing Apparatus and Fire Fighting certification would be advantageous, but isn't essential
