Job summary

CCA Recruitment Group is seeking a Temporary Maintenance Coordinator for a Stockport-based residential property portfolio. The role is a full-time position with an immediate start, offering £17.95 per hour (equivalent to £35,000 per annum) for a temporary assignment that may extend.

You will review reactive maintenance requests, assess issues, authorise works, and liaise with contractors, tenants and internal stakeholders to maintain high service standards.

TEMPORARY MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR
Stockport Town Centre
£17.95 per hour - (Equivalent to £35,000 per annum)
TEMPORARY ROLE - IMMEDIATE START AVAILABLE

This is an ongoing temporary position based in Stockport town centre, expected to continue until a permanent appointment is made (potentially until the end of the year). A permanent position is available, and this temporary role could become permanent for the right candidate.

Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm

We're working with a growing Single Family Housing (SFH) operator to recruit a Temporary Maintenance Coordinator to join their team as soon as possible.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in residential property maintenance who enjoys taking ownership of maintenance issues, making informed decisions, and delivering a high standard of service across a portfolio of rental homes.

Full training will be provided on the company's systems and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and manage reactive maintenance requests across a portfolio of residential rental properties.
• Assess maintenance issues to determine whether they fall within the company's remit and authorise works where appropriate.
• Review and approve contractor quotations and scopes of work.
• Ensure repairs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Monitor maintenance spend and contractor performance.
• Manage end-of-tenancy maintenance requirements.
• Review property photographs and check-out reports to ensure all maintenance issues have been correctly identified.
• Ensure all required maintenance works are included within contractor quotations.
• Challenge and query any discrepancies where maintenance issues are visible in photographs but have not been included within quotes.
• Support an excellent resident experience across the property portfolio.

About You

• Previous experience in a residential property maintenance role is essential.
• Alternatively, you may be an experienced Property Manager with strong exposure to handling maintenance queries, repairs and contractor management.
• Experienced in dealing with reactive maintenance issues within residential properties.
• Confident reviewing contractor quotations and making decisions on maintenance approvals.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Commercially minded with a proactive approach.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot inconsistencies and challenge where necessary.
• Confident liaising with contractors, tenants and internal stakeholders.
