Job description

We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Security Analyst to join our team. As part of the Mainframe RACF Security team your role is to protect the Tesco mainframes by supporting security initiatives and administration. Working with your team and manager, maintaining control over the access and security monitoring of the mainframe platform. This role includes supporting our business users with any queries they have on access requirements or issues.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to user requests and issues assigned to the in RACF ticketing system.
  • Review and action change requests for RACF access.
  • Monitoring of daily tasks and controls are running to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Respond to security alerts received from mainframe security monitoring.
  • Administration of the RACF Roles Based Access application (RBAC).
  • Administration of the RACF privileged access management (PAM).
  • Recertification of access to roles with data owners.
  • Create, review and maintain internal documentation (Run books, processes and procedures).
  • Assist in audit evidence and remediation activities.
  • Follow up on access management deficiencies identified in risk reviews, self-assessments, risk assessments and internal and external audits.
Qualifications
  • Extensive RACF/z/OS Specialist knowledge and experience with an understanding of other related z/OS components.
  • An understanding of security concepts and technologies within a Mainframe environment.
  • Use of IBM zSecure - including z/Alert, Command Verifier, Access Monitor and RACF Offline and CARLA reporting.
  • Knowledge of IBM RACF Mainframe security software & configuration.
  • Experience with mainframe languages such as: JCL, REXX, CLIST, ISPF etc.
  • Experience in documenting working processes/procedures and support activities to a high standard.
  • Substantial problem-solving skills; able to think laterally and conceptually.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team and others, in a style appropriate to the audience.
  • Understanding of Role Based Access Controls (RBAC).
  • Understanding of ICFR controls - (previously Sarbanes‑Oxley).
  • Experience on digital certificate management & implementation.
  • Knowledge of RACF remote sharing facility (RRSF).
