Job summary

VIQU IT in Cambridge is seeking a Mac-focused Desktop Support Engineer to join our client's IT team on an initial 3-month contract, 5 days onsite. The role is predominantly Mac (about 90%) with some Windows support.

You will provide 1st/2nd line desktop support for Mac users, manage tickets, set up new users and hardware, and support onboarding and offboarding, access management and general IT requests. Onsite, customer-facing service.

Qualifications

• Mac/macOS support experience required.
• Desktop/IT support experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Comfortable working onsite with users.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st/2nd line desktop support for Mac users.
• Manage and resolve tickets through the IT service desk.
• Provide face-to-face and walk-up support.
• Set up new users and hardware.
• Support onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Manage user access and general IT requests.
• Troubleshoot Mac hardware and software issues.
• Deliver a professional, friendly service to users.
