Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is recruiting an M&E Shift Engineer for a high-profile building in Salisbury on a full-time basis. You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance within a team of around 50 on this static site, ensuring M&E and fabric upkeep meets required standards.

The role requires a strong understanding of facilities maintenance, a proven track record in building maintenance, and a commitment to safety and client service.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial building maintenance.
• Trade certificates (City & Guilds) verifiable upon request.
• Ability to work on a shift pattern and respond to reactive maintenance.

Responsibilities

M&E Shift Engineer – FM Service Provider - High-Profile Building – Salisbury – up to £44,000 + Package

An exciting opportunity to join an established FM service provider based in Salisbury has arisen! CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting an M&E Shift Engineer based in a high-profile building in Salisbury. He or she will be required to carry out planned and reactive maintenance within a team of roughly 50 across this static site.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance and have a proven track record in building maintenance. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £44,000, overtime, further training and a route into further career progression.

Hours of work

• Day Shift - 6 am to 6 pm
• Night Shift - 6 pm to 6 am

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Lighting (Small installation, Fault-finding, Lamping, etc)
• Emergency lighting tests
• Control Panels
• BMS System - Monitor (i.e. Hot & cold)
• Carry out all aspects of M&E/Fabric maintenance
• Maintain and update Log books
• Plumbing - Unblocking toilets
• Pumps, motors
• Compliance and logbooks
• Undertake all allocated tasks and perform them in a timely and professional manner.
• Be proactive in identifying and reporting faults with building services equipment and take steps to resolve them.
• Be proactive to ensure all H&S issues are reported/escalated as required.
• Maintain informal communications with Client staff members related to service levels and issues.
• Report service affecting issued to the site management team for formal communication with the client.
• Remain flexible with regard to site attendance and tasks undertaken within personal competency.
• Be fully aware of relevant Health and Safety and general legislative matters.

Requirements

• Electrically or mechanically qualified - City & Guilds or Equivalent Level 2 or 3
• Must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
• A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
