Job summary

Bimplus in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Operations Manager to lead the delivery of mechanical projects from handover through to completion, commissioning and close-out.

You will manage contracts, oversee schedules, budgets and resources, and maintain strong client and subcontractor relationships while driving process improvements. This is a senior role with growth potential and a strong emphasis on safety and governance.

Qualifications

• Significant experience across commercial and industrial mechanical projects.
• Experience in leadership roles such as Operations Manager, Senior Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager.
• Strong grasp of contracts, sub-contractor networks and value delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational delivery of all Mechanical projects from handover to completion, commissioning, handover and defects close-out.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure health and safety compliance, industry standards and company policies.
• Provide visible operational leadership and ensure RAMS, permits, inspections and corrective actions are followed.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets and resource plans.
• Identify at-risk projects, agree recovery actions and monitor to completion.
• Own allocation of operational management, labour and supervision across all Mechanical projects.
• Plan readiness for major projects including capacity, procurement, logistics and project controls.
• Oversee completion documentation and client sign-off.
• Maintain relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors and support business development.
• Lead process improvements and staff development.
