Job summary

Bimplus is seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Manager or Director to lead the pre-construction function for a respected UK M&E contractor. You will oversee estimating, business development, client relationships, design coordination, and the handover of projects into delivery, operating at senior leadership level.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading pre-construction and estimating functions.
• Track record of winning work and developing client relationships.
• Strong understanding of M&E building services and project risk.
• Experience mentoring teams and driving bid strategy.

Responsibilities

• Leading and developing the pre-construction and estimating function
• Driving new business, tenders, frameworks, and repeat opportunities
• Managing key client relationships and supporting long-term account growth
• Overseeing mechanical and electrical estimating and tender submissions
• Working with design and BIM teams to develop buildable and commercially viable solutions
• Managing tender strategy, pricing, risk, exclusions, and commercial considerations
• Ensuring successful projects are clearly handed over into the delivery teams
• Leading, mentoring, and developing estimating and pre-construction personnel
• Contributing to wider business strategy and growth at Director level
