BGEN Ltd is a leading multidisciplinary contractor specialising in electrical engineering across water, power, and utilities. The role focuses on line management of LV engineering teams, development, and performance review to drive safety and quality across projects.

You will mentor engineers, plan resources, ensure capacity, and support audits and planning. Strong leadership and sector experience are essential for success in this critical environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in LV control panel, MCC, or industrial electrical engineering.
• Previous experience managing engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of engineering standards and quality requirements.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Experience within the UK Water or Utilities sector.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive line management for all LV Engineering colleagues, including performance reviews and objective setting.
• Champion wellbeing, engagement, and retention while handling people-related processes with fairness and care.
• Mentor the engineering team, plan resources, balance workloads, and monitor capacity.
• Support succession planning, uphold quality standards, and contribute to audits and technical reviews.
• Maintain strong documentation, embed safety in all activities, collaborate closely with wider teams, and participate in business planning, growth, and coordination meetings.

What you'll be doing?

You will provide supportive line management for all LV Engineering colleagues, carrying out performance reviews, setting clear objectives, and guiding development.
