Job summary

BGEN Ltd in Warrington is seeking an on-site Electrical Test Technician to carry out inspection and testing of low voltage switchboards, MCCs and control panels. You will interpret schematics and rectify faults according to BS EN 61439 standards, using insulation resistance, continuity, and injection testers.

You will work with manufacturing, engineering and project teams to ensure quality and right-first-time delivery, with benefits including pension, health care, 25 days leave plus holidays,

Qualifications

• 18th Edition preferred.
• HNC Electrical Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspection, functional and electrical testing of low voltage switchboards, MCCs and control panels in line with BS EN 61439 standards.
• Interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to identify, diagnose and rectify wiring and build faults.
• Use a range of electrical test equipment, including insulation resistance, continuity, and primary/secondary injection testing tools.
• Complete all testing activities prior to Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), ensuring compliance with electrical safety and safe isolation procedures.
• Maintain accurate test records and quality documentation while working closely with manufacturing, engineering and project teams to deliver right-first-time quality.
