A leading infrastructure services company in Warrington seeks a Commissioning Engineer to oversee the testing and commissioning of electrical systems. The role requires solid experience in E&I commissioning, knowledge of LV switchgear, and relevant qualifications such as an HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering. Qualifications

• Experience in reading technical drawings and configuring protection devices.
• Ability to issue safety documents and write clear progress reports.
• Experience in following FAT and SAT processes.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Engineering apprenticeship or technical training.
• HNC/HND or degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Qualified in Inspection & Testing (2391-52).
• Up to date with 18th Edition (2382-22).
• Holds CSCS/ECS card.
• LV authorised and experienced.
• CompEx EX01-EX04 (desirable).
• SMSTS and First Aid (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Conduct hands-on testing and commissioning of LV switchgear and electrical systems.
• Collaborate with other trades to ensure efficient commissioning.
• Ensure installations meet project specifications and safety standards.
• Ensure installations meet project specifications and safety standards; complete inspection plans and provide training for new equipment.
• Collaborate with other trades to keep commissioning collaborative and efficient.
• Follow thorough FAT and SAT processes to deliver quality assurance at each stage.

Skills

Solid E&I commissioning experience

Background in Power, Energy and Gas Transmission

Hands-on with LV switchgear and MCCs

Full UK driving licence

Qualified in Inspection & Testing (2391-52)
