Job summary

Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere in Knutsford invites an experienced Banqueting/Convention Supervisor to lead the team and uphold the resort’s 5-star service standards during shifts. You will manage daily banquet operations, coordinate staff, ensure opening/closing procedures, upsell opportunities, and maintain flawless guest experience while controlling stock and payments.

The role requires English fluency, a background in hospitality management or F&B, and a track record of delivering results in

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory role within luxury or high-volume settings.
• Hospitality/F&B management qualification preferred.
• Additional F&B certifications are an advantage.
• Experience in all aspects of restaurant and banquet service.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience with proven results.
• Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language.

Responsibilities

• Be a visual presence in the Banqueting department in the absence of the Manager.
• Run the shift and allocate daily roles to team members.
• Represent the department in meetings when the Manager is away.
• Ensure opening/closing procedures and all documentation are completed.
• Maintain cleanliness to detailed standards and manage stock levels.
• Communicate professionally with all colleagues and guests.
• Upsell opportunities and manage daily sales with the team.
• Be aware of daily business and contribute to resort goals.
• Account for monies and payments during shifts.
• Hold pre-shift meetings as required and be familiar with menus and wine/bar lists.
