Job summary

Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere in Knutsford, England, seeks a Meetings & Events Night Manager to lead the banqueting team, oversee service quality, and optimize profitability in a luxury setting.

You will supervise shifts, manage guest interactions, and ensure accurate orders, stock, and menus knowledge. This role emphasizes up-selling, teamwork, and adherence to high standards of service.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory experience in luxury or high-volume settings.
• Excellent reading, writing and spoken English.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience delivering results.
• Hospitality Management or Food & Beverage qualification preferred.
• Additional F&B certifications are an advantage.
• Experienced in restaurant and banquet service.

Responsibilities

• Be a visual presence in the Meetings and Events department and run the shift.
• Allocate daily roles and represent the department in meetings.
• Ensure opening/closing procedures and all documentation are completed.
• Maintain cleanliness and stock levels; communicate professionally with colleagues.
• Upsell and create daily sales with staff on duty.
• Be aware of daily business and resort needs; inform Banqueting Manager of issues.
