Job summary

Woodlea Primary Academy, part of The University of Chichester Academy Trust, is seeking a calm and caring individual to supervise pupils during lunch, in the classroom, and outdoors. The role focuses on safeguarding, confidentiality, positive behaviour, and supporting children's activities.

Full training will be provided. Prior experience with children is helpful but not essential, and a flexible, team‑oriented approach is valued across our inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervising children in lunch hall, classroom or outdoor areas
• Assisting with duties such as cleaning spillages and maintaining table hygiene
• Encouraging good manners and healthy eating to support positive behaviour
• Supporting children through play and activities, indoors and outdoors
• Administering basic first aid (training provided) and recording incidents
• Supporting children with complex or medical needs
• Applying school policies and safeguarding requirements in the workplace
• Keeping children motivated and engaged with calm but firm guidance
