Job summary

Westgate Academy is seeking a reliable midday supervisor to help ensure pupils have a safe, happy and positive experience during lunchtimes. You will supervise children in the dining hall, playground and other designated areas, following safeguarding and behaviour policies.

You should enjoy working with children, be calm, patient and approachable, with good communication and teamwork. Training will be provided; previous experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervising pupils during lunchtime period in the dining hall and playground
• Promoting positive behaviour and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of pupils
• Assisting children where necessary
• Encouraging healthy eating and good table manners
• Reporting any incidents or concerns to senior staff
• Supporting the school's safeguarding and behaviour policies
