Job summary

Moorcroft Wood Academy is seeking a dedicated Lunchtime Supervisor to join our friendly team on a fixed-term basis until 31 August 2027. You will actively engage with pupils at lunch, support safe, orderly dining, and model positive behaviour in line with school policies.

Experience with children is desirable and safeguarding awareness is essential; enhanced DBS checks will be carried out. You will work as part of a small team in our busy dining hall, fostering good manners, healthy eating, and

• Active engagement with pupils during lunch periods.
• Awareness of safeguarding and how to report concerns.
• Ability to model respectful behaviour and support healthy eating.
• Experience with children is desired but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage with children during lunch time.
• Assist children in the dinner hall to choose and eat a healthy lunch, encouraging good manners and social skills.
• Remain calm and fair while upholding school policies and safeguarding procedures.
• Work as part of a team and adapt to changing circumstances.
