Job summary

Meliá is seeking a Doorman/Woman to welcome guests with warmth and care, escorting to the lobby, and arranging taxi services as needed. You will be a visible ambassador at the hotel entrance, delivering first‑class service and a memorable guest experience.

The role emphasizes discretion, safe handling of guest belongings, and maintaining hotel standards while ensuring a smooth arrival and departure for all guests in a busy London setting.

Responsibilities

• To ensure guests' privacy and confidentiality.
• To handle guest luggage and belongings carefully, storing safely.
• To check car park log book at the start of each shift.
• To provide Valet Parking service to/from offsite car park.
• To deliver a personal service to guests following hotel standards.
• To greet guests warmly, open doors and see them to their vehicles.
• To offer directions to destinations in the local area.
• To assist with taxis/transport arrangements for guests.
• To monitor and direct taxi, limousine, bus traffic for smooth flow.

Mission:

The Doorman/Woman as a key positionas it is one of the first person to welcome our guests to the hotel. He has toensure that all guests receive a warm welcome by cordially greeting them andalso by offering extra services such as escorting to the lobby, finding a taxi

What will you be doing?

• Toensure that the privacy of the guests and the confidentiality of theinformation is respected.
• Tohandle guest luggage and belongings carefully, to store them safely, avoidingdamage or lost.
• To check car park log book at the start of each shift.
• To manage and to provide Valet Parking Service to/from contracted offsite nearby car park.
• Toprovide a personal service to all the guests, fully aware and following thehotel standards and procedures.
• Toensure that all guests / visitors receive a fond farewell, cordially greetingthem, opening the hotel doors and helping them into their vehicles, as well asbidding them farewell.
• Torelay accurate directions to guests/visitors on inquiries regardingdestinations within the local area.
• Toassist in securing taxis/transportation for guests/visitors.
• Tomonitor and direct traffic activity of taxis, limousines, buses and othervehicles, ensuring a smooth and efficient flow.
