Job summary

TeacherActive is currently recruiting for Cover Supervisors to work in Worcestershire secondary schools. The role involves supervising classes in the absence of a teacher, delivering pre-set work and supporting pupil learning while maintaining a positive, orderly environment.

Ideal candidates will have experience with children or young people, GCSE Maths and English, and a willingness to work towards NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational or similar setting.
• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) with strong numeracy and literacy skills.
• NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to manage behaviour positively and effectively.
• A proactive, flexible and team-oriented approach with a commitment to safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Supervise whole classes during teacher absences.
• Deliver pre-set work.
• Manage behaviour effectively and support pupils' learning.
