Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting Cover Supervisors for Coventry secondary schools. Earn £100-£120 per day by supervising classes, delivering pre-set work and supporting pupil progress.

Some roles offer long-term placements with possible permanent progression for the right candidate. The ideal candidate will have experience with children or young people, GCSEs in Maths/English, and a willingness to work towards NVQ Level 3 teaching qualifications.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) with strong numeracy and literacy skills.
• NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Are you looking for a long-term Cover Supervisor role with the opportunity to secure a permanent position?

I am looking for Cover Supervisors who can commit on a long-term basis as well as cover day-to-day shifts, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right Cover Supervisor. The successful Cover Supervisor will supervise whole classes during teacher absences, deliver pre-set work, manage behaviour effectively and support pupils' learning while contributing to the wider life of the school.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational or similar setting
• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) with strong numeracy and literacy skills
• NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to manage behaviour positively and effectively
• A proactive, flexible and team-oriented approach with a commitment to safeguarding
