Job summary

Canonical Ltd. in London is seeking a customer-focused technical support engineer to serve employees and external customers.

You will own and resolve cases, collaborate with engineers, and contribute to AV support for office conferences and events. You will work onsite at the London office, bringing strong Linux and cloud experience and a passion for open source in a fast-paced environment where empathy and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Outstanding written and spoken English.
• Degree in a technical subject or compelling alternative path.
• Hands-on Linux and cloud experience with multiple technologies.

Responsibilities

• Empathetic engagement with customers across remote sessions, ticketing, and live conversations.
• Collaborative problem solving with internal engineering teams and regional peer groups.
• True ownership of support cases and transparent communication with customers.
• Ubuntu lifecycle guidance to explain timelines for engineering fixes.
• Knowledge advocacy: author and maintain accessible knowledge base articles.
• Participate in regular weekend working rotation for continuity of care.
