Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in London seeks a skilled Shift Technician (Electrical or Mechanical) to maintain and optimise building systems in a high-tech facility. You will manage MEP services, run preventive and reactive maintenance, and support commissioning under the GRP framework.

The role requires 5+ years in building services, strong knowledge of BMS, CAFM/CMMS, and IoT solutions, plus excellent communication with clients and teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Multi Skilled Building Services Maintenance Contracting Environment.
• Strong client relationship and professional communication.
• Proficient with MS Office and Slack for collaboration.
• Ability to prioritise workload and adapt to shift patterns.
• Knowledge of BMS, IoT controls and smart technologies.

Responsibilities

• Operate the site in line with local legislation, SOPs and GRP requirements.
• Record planned and reactive maintenance in the CMMS with precision.
• Support testing, commissioning, and handover of new MEP services.
• Maintain safety by conducting risk assessments and permits to work.
• Monitor and optimise Building Management Systems and IoT controls.
• Perform small-scale installations and fabric maintenance on electrical/mechanical plant.
• Engage with stakeholders to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Identify operational improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Team to meet performance requirements.
