OpenAI is seeking Forward Deployed Engineers to lead end-to-end deployments of frontier models for strategic customers in London. You will own discovery, scoping, system design, build, and production rollout in close partnership with customer engineering and domain teams.

You will measure success by production adoption, impact on workflows, and feedback that informs product and model roadmaps. The role involves a hybrid schedule (3 days in office) and relocation support, with travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering or technical deployment experience with customer-facing work.
• Experience scoping and delivering complex systems in fast-moving environments.
• Production-grade code writing/review across frontend and backend.

Responsabilités

• Own technical delivery from prototype to production across deployments.
• Build full-stack systems delivering customer value and learning signals.
• Embed with customer teams to guide adoption of your builds.
• Scope work, sequence delivery, and remove blockers early.
• Make trade-offs between scope, speed and quality to protect delivery.
• Contribute code when needed to unblock progress.
• Codify patterns into reusable tools or playbooks.
• Share field feedback to improve models, product, and research.
