Job summary

OpenAI in London is actively seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to lead end-to-end deployments of frontier models with strategic customers. You will own discovery, system design, build, and rollout, partnering with customer engineers and domain teams to drive adoption and feedback into product roadmaps.

The role requires 6+ years of engineering or deployment experience, fluency in Spanish and English, and the ability to operate in fast-moving environments.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of engineering or technical deployment experience.
• Professional fluency in Spanish and English (required).
• Experience scoping and delivering complex systems in fast-moving or ambiguous environments.
• Experience building or deploying systems powered by LLMs or generative models.

Responsibilities

• Own technical delivery across multiple deployments from prototype to stable production.
• Build full-stack systems that deliver customer value and enable learning.
• Embed with customer teams to understand needs and guide adoption.
• Scope work, sequence delivery, remove blockers, and trade-off between scope, speed, and quality.
• Contribute directly in code when needed and write/review production-grade code.
• Codify working patterns into tools, playbooks, or reusable building blocks.
• Share field feedback to help Research and Product improve models and experiences.
• Maintain momentum through clarity, follow-through, and risk spotting.
