Job summary

Mitie in City of London is seeking an experienced Workplace Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of the London headquarters and oversee a regional location with monthly travel. The role focuses on delivering safe, efficient, high-performing corporate workplace experiences for employees, visitors and stakeholders.

You will manage hard and soft FM services, coordinate partners and contractors, and report on performance, compliance and service improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a corporate workplace, headquarters or high-profile commercial environment.
• Strong experience overseeing both hard and soft facilities services.
• Experience managing contractors, service partners and operational performance.
• Strong client and stakeholder management skills.
• People-management experience with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety, compliance and operational risk.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Confidence using workplace/FM systems and producing operational and client reporting.
• A proactive approach with strong attention to detail and a genuine passion for workplace experience.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the smooth day-to-day operation of the London HQ.
• Oversee delivery of hard and soft FM services and ensure standards meet client expectations.
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance, building issues, contractors and service partners.
• Monitor workplace standards through site walks, audits and follow-up actions.
• Ensure faults, service requests and operational issues are recorded, escalated and resolved.
• Maintain a strong focus on health, safety, compliance and workplace standards.
• Act as a key day-to-day contact for the client and build trusted relationships.
• Manage and develop a team of two, including coaching and performance conversations.
• Produce regular client and operational reporting including KPIs and trends.
• Use data to identify opportunities for service improvement and staff planning.
