Job summary

Otis is seeking an experienced escalator call-out and repair engineer to join the Transport for London team, covering the London Underground escalator portfolio. Your priority is passenger safety and coordinating with stakeholders on-site to maintain a reliable escalator fleet.

You will operate in a demanding environment across diverse brands, with 4 on 4 off 12-hour shifts and comprehensive benefits including pension, life assurance, parental leave, and opportunities for professional

Qualifications

• At least NVQ Level 3 in Escalator Engineering with significant experience in service and maintenance of escalators.
• Experienced escalator engineer with in-depth knowledge of a variety of different brands of equipment.
• Hold a valid UK driver’s license.
• Flexibility is important and overtime may be required.
• Good skills in mechanical and electrical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Carry out breakdown and repair work on all escalators within the portfolio to achieve continual operation.
• Work within London Underground network, managing the portfolio of escalator's within it.
• Respond proactively and quickly to fix any breakdowns, aiming to achieve first time fix.
• Liaise directly with the customer while on site to build a good working relationship.
