Job summary

Otis London is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join the TfL escalator team in London. You will maintain a portfolio of escalators, ensuring passenger safety and continual operation across the London Underground network, including on-site breakdown response and first-time fixes.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 in Escalator Engineering and UK driving license, with a Sunday–Thursday 23:00–07:00 shift. Otis offers extensive training, benefits, and the Otis Rewards Scheme.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Escalator Engineering with significant experience in service and maintenance of escalators.
• Experience as an escalator engineer with knowledge of various brands.
• UK driving licence required.
• Flexibility with overtime.
• Mechanical and electrical engineering skills.
• Safety must be priority.
• Comfortable communicating with others.
• Able to work alone or in a team.
• Proficient with electronic and digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Carry out breakdown and repair work on escalators within the portfolio to maintain operation.
• Work within London Underground network, managing the escalator portfolio.
• Respond quickly to fix breakdowns with aim of first time fix.
• Liaise with customers on site to build good working relationships.
