Job summary

Otis SE in London is seeking an experienced escalator call-out and repair engineer to join our Transport for London team, covering the London Underground escalator portfolio. Your priority is passenger safety and maintaining operations across a diverse range of equipment.

You will carry out breakdowns and repairs, liaise with customers on site, and aim for first-time fixes. The role requires NVQ Level 3 in Escalator Engineering, a UK driving license, and flexibility for overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Escalator Engineering or equivalent.
• Significant experience in service and maintenance of escalators.
• Valid UK driving license.
• Flexibility for overtime as required.
• Strong mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge.
• Safety-first mindset and professional approach.
• Good on-site communication.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Proficiency with electronic/digital diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Carry out breakdowns and repairs on escalators within the portfolio.
• Manage and service units within the London Underground network.
• Respond quickly to issues to achieve first-time fixes.
• Liaise with customers on site to build a constructive relationship.
