Job summary

ALS is seeking two Sample Logistics Technicians for its Hawarden lab. You will receive, register and prepare incoming samples, pack and dispatch kits, and maintain a clean, safe work area in a busy environment.

No prior lab experience required; transferable skills from retail, hospitality or warehousing are welcome. The role requires accuracy, teamwork and a commitment to health and safety, with 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above, including Science, Maths and English.
• Confident IT skills, including Excel and Outlook, with the ability to learn internal systems.
• Able to work accurately under pressure, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Receive, register and prepare incoming samples accurately and on time.
• Pack sample containers and kits for dispatch to customers.
• Rotate sample bottles and dispose of them correctly following analysis.
• Keep work areas clean, tidy and well organised at all times.
• Process returned items and laboratory waste for recycling or safe disposal.
• Work in line with ISO 17025 and the company quality management system.
