Job summary

ALS is seeking a reliable Logistics Technician for the night shift to support the receipt, registration and preparation of samples. You will ensure prompt processing, pack samples for courier distribution and maintain a safe, organized lab environment.

Role requires accurate work under tight deadlines, good communication and teamwork. On-site, with night shift benefits and opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

  • 3 GCSEs including English and Maths required or desirable.
  • IT skills including Microsoft Excel and Outlook; ability to learn in-house systems.
  • Ability to work accurately and consistently to tight deadlines.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills; good communication.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, register and prepare samples for the business, ensuring timely processing.
  • Split and pack samples for distribution to customers or subcontractors; courier ready.
  • Filtration of wastewater samples and washing of glassware; maintain consumables.
  • Maintain clean, safe workstations; follow storage guidelines and ISO 17025 standards.
  • Adhere to Health & Safety procedures and report near misses/incidents.
