Job summary

DACHSER Ltd. in Northampton is seeking a Logistics Operative – Reach Driver to support the day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring safe handling, storage and movement of goods with accuracy and strong customer service.

The role is permanent and full-time, Mon–Fri 0900–1730 with 1 in 4 Saturdays, and includes on-site training for D1/D2 forklift operation along with a range of employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in safe loading/unloading of vehicles and handling of goods.
• Ability to read and verify load documentation accurately.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in stock movements.

Purpose Of the Role:

To support the efficient day‑to‑day operation of warehouse activities, ensuring the safe handling, storage, and movement of goods while maintaining high standards of accuracy, productivity, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe loading and unloading of vehicles
• Accurately checking and verifying all load documentation
• Labelling goods and transporting them to designated storage areas
• Working collaboratively with team members to support daily operations
• Maintaining high housekeeping standards and ensuring MHE (Material Handling Equipment) is kept clean and serviceable
• Carrying out handballing and de‑topping of goods as required
• Using scanning systems to accurately record and track pallet movements
• Using a D1/D2 forklift as part of daily warehouse operations, with on‑site training available for the right candidate.
