Job summary

Freightserve recruitment is seeking an Operations Shift Manager for a well-established freight company based in the East Midlands. The role covers coordinating warehouse operations, liaising with departments, and ensuring efficient shipping processes.

You will monitor performance, handle customer communications, investigate incidents via CCTV, and support audits and HS/DG compliance while mentoring supervisors on safety and procedures.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in warehouse or logistics operations preferred.
• Ability to liaise with multiple departments to resolve issues.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and physical workloads.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate collections and deliveries as required.
• Monitor warehouse operations and ensure accuracy in data entry in IT systems.
• Liaise with other departments to solve problem shipments.
• Investigate missing, late, and damaged parcels using CCTV analysis.
• Ensure correct scans and carrier labels are produced for shipments.
• Support H&S and DG compliance and assist with audits.
• Mentor Supervisors on compliance matters.
