Origin Fertilisers is seeking a Transport/Despatch Coordinator based at the Great Yarmouth site to support daily delivery operations, liaise with customers and hauliers, and manage despatch planning. You will ensure accurate bookings, maintain haulage records, and help optimise costs while adhering to health and safety rules.

The role requires strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to work in a small onsite team with national coordination.

Responsabilidades

• Communicate with Customers and Hauliers in a polite and courteous manner by phone.
• Organise and allocate Delivered orders to Haulage contractors cost-effectively.
• Assist with forward planning to meet daily despatch tonnage targets.
• Maintain contact with hauliers to resolve issues and improve service levels.
• Comply with legislation and industry codes for hazardous substances.
• Monitor haulage costs and compare rates locally and nationally.
• Ensure adequate numbers of haulage contractors to deliver despatches.
• Maintain national haulier database with accurate information.
• Chase delivered orders to ensure timely delivery from site.
• Update national chasers system on transport issues.
• Record non-delivery reasons and ensure bookings are executed daily.
• Confirm pick lists after loading docket returns.
• Assist the despatch desk and communicate Site Rules to contractors.
• Explain health and safety site rules to haulage contractors.
• Check ADR documentation and ensure weighbridge operations per procedures.
• Keep Site Manager, Sales Support and Business Support Services informed.
• Provide support across UK sites during holidays or workload peaks.
• Train other office/transport staff as needed.
• Adhere to IT, admin processes, procedures and policies.
• Carry out other reasonable requests from line management.
