Job summary

P+S Personnel are seeking a Transport Coordinator for a full-time, 12-month fixed term contract based in Great Yarmouth. The role reports to the National Transport Manager and Site Manager, coordinating deliveries, liaising with hauliers, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

The ideal candidate will have strong customer-facing experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a small onsite team with nationwide coordination.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Previous experience in a customer facing role.
• Clear and professional telephone communication under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Report to the National Transport Manager and the Site Manager.
• Communicate with Customers and Hauliers by telephone in a courteous manner.
• Organise and allocate Delivered orders to Haulage contractors cost-effectively to meet customer requirements.
• Plan with the Site Manager using forward planning to achieve daily despatch tonnages.
• Maintain regular contact with hauliers to resolve issues and improve service levels.
• Ensure compliance with ADR documentation and weighbridge procedures.
