Job summary

Adler & Allan is seeking an organised and proactive Operations Coordinator for our Shaftesbury site to ensure smooth daily operations. You’ll coordinate waste movements and support customers while helping maintain transport compliance.

From coordinating bookings to maintaining records and supporting load planning, you’ll be at the heart of site operations and fleet upkeep, working with drivers and yard teams in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Confident, friendly telephone manner and strong customer service.
• Clear communication with drivers, yard teams and colleagues.
• Good literacy and numeracy for handling paperwork.
• A willingness to learn and grow.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Competence in Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound waste bookings, schedules and quotations.
• Manage customer, supplier and internal enquiries with day-to-day operational support.
• Maintain records, databases, traffic schedules and purchase orders.
• Support daily load planning, waste collections, stock management and processing.
• Monitor driver and transport compliance, including working time and Digital Tacho Card downloads.
• Coordinate vehicle defects reporting, maintenance and inspections to keep fleet compliant.
